Includes updates for the third party applications, phone, calendar, contacts, camera

BlackBerry has released an update for the BlackBerry 10 operating system (OS) that is being used in its BlackBerry Z10 smartphones.

The updates claim to improve third party applications as well as fixing Gmail calendars on BlackBerry 10 for those who were facing difficulty in adding accounts.

The updates also claim to improve its calendar, contacts, camera, browser and media offering as well as battery life.

BlackBerry said the updates have been issued based on user feedbacks and will be available over the air (OTA).

The company said in a statement, "We've also made general improvements to importing contacts from online sources."

The update will be 150MB in size and the company has advised to update when connected to Wi-Fi. Blackberry plans to roll out the update with all of its carrier partners across the world in the coming weeks.
