Absolute launches endpoint management software

Enables effective management of cross-platform deployments

Absolute Software Corporation, firmware-based endpoint security and management offerings provider, has launched its Absolute Manage 5.4.2.

The company notes Absolute Manage is cross-platform and provides endpoint management capabilities for PC, Mac, and iOS devices.

The new offering allows organisations to efficiently manage all their assets by automating time-consuming IT processes such as software distribution, patch management, asset inventory and imaging.

In addition, it allows organisations cut costs by allowing them to track installed applications and licenses, redeploy under-used licenses and hardware to optimise inventory, and avoid non-compliance fines.

With Absolute Manage 5.4.2, customers can upgrade to Apple's newest operating system without any interruption to the endpoint management processes they depend on to effectively manage their cross-platform deployments.

The software comes with Apple Open Directory, with which organisations can now better manage users' access to resources used on iOS 4 devices.

Absolute Software's Computrace, Absolute Manage and LoJack for Laptops applications provide theft recovery, data protection and computer lifecycle management capabilities to organisations and consumers.
